Mutorashanga House
New off-grid three block contemporary home

This split unit house comprises three main blocks, with the architect wanting to show-case a blend of exposed steel, rock, brick and glazing.  ECE were responsible for the design of all engineering services, from the structural steel frame to the roof  mounted solar array – which allows the house to operate independently from the grid, and the piped services; water is life!

A high level of coordination was required to ensure the exposed elements did not clash with the highly serviced interior, or compromise the architectural aesthetics.
